This week I was in Frankfurt, Germany on business for a few days and needed a place to run. I couldn't bring myself to use the treadmill in the fitness center, so I asked the concierge at the hotel for advice. She suggested I go downtown for a nice run along the river. "Nein, nein, kein Strassen" I protested in bad German, "Ich möchte schmutzigen Schuhe haben!" Not streets. I want to have dirty shoes!
She smiled, then explained how to take a footpath under the Autobahn into a forest on the other side. That's more like it! The forest was very quiet and very green with damp double tracks that seemed to go on and on. After about 10 kilometers it was getting dark so I headed back, but by that time I had exactly what I wanted.

Hey Tom, It was great to meet you today. Kelly and I are looking forward to some new trails! My e-mail is wannarun262@yahoo.com. I know you said you were going to post a run for next week, but we have had some trouble finding certain trails. Wherever it is you decide on could you please e-mail an address so we can GPS it..or a good meeting spot so we can carpool?
Thanks so much.

Darrell,
Yeah, maybe I'll run a 10K in every country. Let's see, counting the USA, that's 2 down, 193 to go!
Sorry, but no pictures or GPS tracks. I travel light.
