Running

Today I ran for the first time since the end of August.

It was a little over 3 miles.  On the road.  It started out as a walk, but after a few steps I just felt like running.  So I ran (OK, jogged slowly - slow even for me!).  Although there were a few protests from various semi-dormant body parts, generally I felt great, even on the hill.  Breathing almost normally.  A couple of hours later there was a little stiffness in my thighs.  Alright, nothing an easy 20 mile bike ride couldn't take care of (I'm still biking 90 miles per week).

This evening I'm thinking, "Did I really go for a run today?".

Awesome. An inpromtu run, I like that. Maybe I'll see you "walking" around on the trails after the holidays.

I have that same thought about many things but rarely about running. Way to be spontaneous.

awesome! That's about my distance too that I'm running. We can work up the miles and continue my quest to "bag" all the peaks in the Santa Ana Mountains when I get back down there :)
